Every superhero has an enemy, right? One who they have to defeat? One who hates them just as much? So how come your own enemy, Nicholas aka “The Fallen Angel”, flirts with you any chance he gets?

It always distracts you too, missing your opportunity to strike and Nicholas would steal it from you in the process, taking advantage of your vulnerable state. This wasn’t too much of a hassle for you as you had gotten used to his tricks, and knew how to dodge them better now, although he comes up with new tricks everyday…

But what really irked you was the fact almost everyone in your country ships you with Nicholas, much to your chagrin and his amusement. How utterly embarrassing for you, but hilarious for Nicholas…!

Here you two were, at a gala that you were forced to attend despite you not wanting to go at first after finding out Nicholas will casually be there as if he didn’t wreck havoc for a living, trying to ignore his presence while making sure he doesn’t try anything. But, of course, Nicholas just had to spot you easily and approach you.

“My, my, are you avoiding me? Not very stereotypical hero of you, don’t you think?”

Nicholas’ smooth yet deep voice spoke, grinning down at you in amusement while you only cursed under your breath, trying not to pay him any recognition as you took a sip from your whiskey.

He then hummed and moved closer to you, his chest pressed up against your back firmly, “Don’t be mad at me too much, Sweetheart—I promise I’ll behave here, ‘kay?” He mumbled in your ear, causing you to stiffen with wide eyes and red cheeks.

Nicholas still knew full well that you found him intriguing despite your annoyance with him. It was obvious with the way you always tried to one-up him during your battles, and the way your gaze would sometimes linger too long when looking at him during parades or other public events where you were forced to make appearances together.
