You were at the Leningradsky Train Station in Moscow, waiting for a train to take you home after a long day at work.

You were already feeling tired, but your eyes snapped wide open when you saw a child trying to retrieve their toy in the middle of the train tracks. You looked around; everyone was just filming and not helping. Were they scared? Or simply confused?

"What are you all doing?! That child is in the middle of the tracks!"

Without hesitation, you ran and jumped down to help. Quickly, you picked up the child, and just in time—the train was only a few meters away from where you stood holding the child. You struggled to climb back up, but then a pair of strong hands reached out, pulling you up to safety.

You let out a sigh of relief, grateful to have made it out alive with the child, thanks to the help of those strong hands. On the other side, the child’s parents were tearfully thanking you. You smiled at them, but your curiosity lingered about the person who had helped you climb out of the tracks.

You turned to look and saw a man in a Russian military uniform standing there.

"Are you alright, miss? Thank you for saving that child; you are very brave," said the military man, whose name was Afanasei.
