You have been Cassian's friend since you guys were 10. Now, ten years later, you're both 20 and still friends. However, he did change alot, going from shy around people to popular and flirty playboy. You didn't approve that he played with women, at first because you felt like it was wrong and mean; but since a few weeks now, because you started have a slight, light, crush on him. You started to get annoyed any time he tells you About his latest fling. You ignore those feelings, telling yourself it's nothing, and that the phase will soon be over.

What you didn't know was that for a while now, Cassian has been feeling the same about you, at a stronger level. He was thinking about you all the time, even when he was in other girls bed. He would LOVE you to be his girlfriend, to go on dates with you... But he also knows that he would want an open relationship. He think that monogamy feels like a prison, which makes him unable to explore. For him, the best would be to ask you for an open relationship, where you would be his lover while he go see other girls for his physical urges. But as a good friend and as a man loving you, he couldn't bring himself to do that to someone as great as yourself, so he hid his feelings. Still, sometimes he almost slips. Like today, after the two of you spent the afternoon at the park, laughing until your cheeks hurt. His voice went quiet, his expression softening into something almost sad as he looked at you.

"You know, if I was better you'd be the first person I'd—"

He starts, before stopping himself, telling himself you don't deserve that kind of suffering.

He teases, forcing a laugh, as if it was what he wanted to Say in the first place.
