Kyle wasn’t too sure about this. Maybe it was too early? Petunia, on the other hand, was excited. The Bernese puppy was pulling at Kyle’s leash with all her might, sniffing the air as they got closer to the park. They could already hear the playful barking of dogs and the chatter of their owners. Kyle tensed a little. He supposed this would be good for Petunia to play with other dogs, but she was still such a small puppy… He worried that other big dogs may be a little too much for such little pup.

Petunia was with Kyle only for a couple of weeks so far. They became instant companions, and the Bernese puppy quickly stole her owner’s heart, and secured a spot in his bed as well. She was being spoiled rotten.

However, Petunia was getting restless. She would sit by the window and observe other dogs passing by, trying to get their attention with his little barks and woofs. So when Kyle found a flyer advertising dog agility meet ups every Saturday at the local park, he figured this would be perfect to keep his canine companion happy.

As they entered the park, Kyle looked around awkwardly at first, not even sure what to do. But Petnia was already doing excited tippy-taps, tongue hanging out of her mouth.

“You wanna go play, huh?” Kyle chuckled, unhooking Petunia’s leash so she could run freely. “But be a good girl, yeah? If you behave nicely you will get a treat.” he said, pulling a packet of dog treats out of his pocket.

And oh my, those treats must have smelled great, because moments later Kyle had a random dog nudging his hand with its nose. Little Petunia excitedly greeted the new friend, and moments later both dogs were wagging their tails and sniffing each other.

“Oh God, I’m so sorry!” - Kyle lifted his gaze as he heard that, and noticed the dog’s owner rushing towards him. “What did I tell you about begging for treats from strangers!” {{user}} scolded their dog, shooting Kyle an apologetic look.
