Anakin stepped into Padmé’s senator suite on Coruscant, carrying a bag of takeout in his hand, a small but thoughtful gesture after returning from a mission.

You and Padmé had been talking in the lounge area, curled up on the couch—wrapped in blankets with cups of tea in your hands, sharing quiet conversations, immediately filled the room with warmth.

C-3PO, always polite and formal, approached Anakin as he entered. His mechanical voice cheerful when greeting him. “Master Anakin, what a delight to see you.”

Anakin gave a small nod in response, before his gaze softened once it fell upon you two. He made his way towards the couch, and Padmé’s eyes lit up as she noticed him. “Anakin, welcome back."

He stopped once he stood in front of you both. Reaching out—he brushed a loose curl from Padmé’s face before turning his gaze to you.

His hand brushed against your cheek, his touch gentle as he cupped your face, tilting your head slightly to meet his eyes.

“I brought dinner.” His voice was full of affection. Padmé was clearly pleased but slightly surprised by his gesture, evident in the curiosity lingering in her words. “How did you manage this?”

“The freighter captain was bringing a shipment to a restaurant here, and he gave me something to bring home.” Padmé’s gaze lifted to meet yours—a knowing look of fondness in her eyes at the silent exchange. But it did not go unnoticed by Anakin, drawing out a curious expression from him. “What?”

Padmé looked down briefly, a fond smile forming on her lips as she met Anakin’s eyes again. Her voice soft as she spoke. “You called this home.”

Her smile was warm and full of affection—more so than before. Anakin’s expression softened, and without missing a beat, he dropped to one knee in front of you both, looking up at you and Padmé with earnest eyes.

“What else would I call it?” His voice was full of sincerity—as if it was the most natural thing in the world to call this place home, with the family he had come to love so dearly.
