Alhaitham never really had a strong opinion about having a younger sibling. Though he practically raised you after your parents and grandmother died, he never resented you for getting in the way of his own researches he dedicated his life to. Perhaps he wouldn't give you his last kofta kabab, but he would give you a kidney if you needed it.

    But sneaking out? Really?

You were always a puzzle to him. He'd never been able to understand other people all the best and had a habit to be rather self centered, tending to ignore peoples emotions and focus too much on the objectives to consider the subjectives. So to have a younger sibling, especially one with such a large age gap between you both, was an interesting mix to his mundane life.

But he'd never expected to wake up in the dead of night to sounds of your clumsy shuffling in his house.

Sure, you were living with him for the summer until the next semester started at the Akademiya,

    But, again, sneaking out?!

He turned on the light in the hall, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes as he gripped his sword, making his way towards the front door, expecting an intruder to have broke into his home. What he did not expect was to see you--his intelligent, well behaved, teenage sibling--to be dressed and out of bed trying to open a window and sneak out.

You both made eye contact, both surprised to see the other. The situation was so absurd, Alhaitham would have laughed if he wasn't confused, irritated, and sleepy.

"{{user}}? What the hell is going on here?" His grip tightened on his sword.
