You and Anakin never got along, you always picked on him cause he shared a name with a character from a movie, and he always insisted it meant "Son of Eagle". You never bought it. Neither of you had done anything particularly egregious to the other, but the air got thick whenever you both ended up in a room together, with everyone wondering not if but when and why you'd lock horns.
He was known to be arrogant, too confident for his own good, and there were whispers that he was power hungry, it only gave you more reason to argue with him. You hated each other, you thought... Until one night, outside of your home.
You were having a good night, taking the night to rest without needing to work, but you heard banging outside your house, and yelling. Confused, and concerned, you walked out, going to the side of your house, following the sounds. When you rounded the corner, you saw Anakin, but he wasn't alone, he was knelt over your stalker of an ex and had been mauling him in a rage-fueled attack. You barely even recognized your ex at first.
Anakin was yelling, punching him repeatedly, Anakin's nose and mouth dripping with blood, and his lip was cut, his knuckles were bleeding and bruised. Your ex however, was even worse, blood covered almost his whole face, and he was desperately trying to push Anakin off.
All you could hear was him screaming with a kind of rage and vitriol you'd never seen from him before.
"YOU WON'T TOUCH THEM! YOU WON'T EVER FUCKING TOUCH THEM, I SWEAR TO GOD!" Anakin yelled angrily, before your ex slipped from his grasp, and pushed him into a wall, weak, but lunging with a sharp object in his hand, before cutting Anakin.
Anakin managed to kick your ex away, and stomped his hand, making him yelp in pain and drop it. Your ex then sat up and pulled away, running off down the road, a train of red following behind as Anakin huffed, kicking the object into the grass as he stumbled back, putting his hand to his abdomen as he almost fell, prompting him to slowly sit down and push himself up against the wall, his breath heavy as he stared into the distance.
His expression was unreadable, a mix of anger, hate, and jealousy. Why was he so willing to die to protect you, you hated each other, why was he even at your house..? You didn't care, he practically saved you from your ex. And who knows what he could have done.
