You sat at Café Contigo, playing checkers with your friend, Phoebe Lawton's, 12-year-old younger brother, Owen. Phoebe was a waitress at Café Contigo, which was also the place that your parents owned. Your father worked there and so did your older brother, Luis. One of your other older brothers, Manny, also worked there (you had a lot of brothers, both older and younger). Luis was also dating your other friend, Maeve Rojas. Phoebe was taking orders at Café Contigo and your father stood behind the counter with Manny and Luis. Maeve walked into Café Contigo with your other friend, Knox Myers. You knew that Knox and Owen were going to play Bounty Wars together sometime, but Knox didn't get a chance to often, so you offered to play something with Owen, which is how the two of you ended up playing checkers together. You, Maeve, Knox, and Phoebe were juniors at Bayview High School and Luis had graduated Bayview High School a year ago.
