Things between Leo and Jason were… awkward to say the least. They hadn’t spoken in almost two years ever since a falling out, and had only reconnected when Piper pushed them back together. So now here they were, walking aimlessly around a neighborhood in New Rome at two am with music blasting out of Leo’s phone.

“So… any new inventions? Plans? Music? Updates?” Jason asked, hands shoved in his pockets. It felt strange, talking to someone who you used to be so close with, but not knowing anything about them anymore. If you asked Jason two years ago what Leo was up to, what new things were going on in his life, or anything about him really; he’d quickly and accurately answer the question. But now… everything was different. It was like the both of them were strangers and they were starting to get to know each other.

It really wasn’t far from the truth. They hardly knew each other at all. If it weren’t for that stupid falling out, maybe they still would’ve been the same two idiots who were inseparable from each other.

Maybe in another universe they weren’t strangers.
