Percy just arrived at Camp four days ago. Well, he was sleeping in the Infirmary for three of them, but today wzs the fourth. Grover, in a rush, passed his responsibility onto you because of Pegasus duty, he said. Lame excuse, I know.

But still, you headed toward the Big House, heart racing a bit because, well, you lied to Percy about moving to New Jersey when you had to go to Camp Half-Blood a month ago. And now, here you were. At Camp. Orange Half-Blood Camp t-shirt. Wearing your bead necklace like it was nothing.

The door creaked as you walked in. You spotted Percy standing stiffly in front of a man in a loud Hawaiian shirt, swirling Diet Coke in a wine glass.

He was standing stiff with his arms crossed, eyebrows furrowed, and lips halfway twisted into a “this has to be a dream” frown. And in front of him?

"Ah yes, Peter Johnson. We were just bonding. I was explaining how he may or may not be my long-lost son and how I'd tragically need him to go get me a case of Bordeaux." Mr. D said as he took a sip from his Diet Coke.

And Percy was already done, and confused. "You what?"

You walked in, a mix of awkward and smug as you tried to find something to smooth over the tension. "Gods above..."

Percy blinked. He turned to you, betrayed. "Wait- You’re here too?!"

    "Hi Percy." You mumbled sheepishly.

"You told me you were moving to New Jersey!" He retorted.

You winced. "Yeah... I lied to you. Sorry."

Mr. D rose his glass without looking at either of you. "Charming. Lying to mortals. Very heroic."

You sighed and rubbed your forehead before then speaking up. “Mr. D, this is, uh Percy Jackson-”

“Yeah, {{user}}, I heard him the first time.” Dionysus said flatly, barely glancing up.

    Percy muttered. “But did you?”

You clicked your tongue. “Okay...” You yanked his arm slightly, turning him towards you and whispering. “You really don’t want to start with this guy.”

He scoffed, thumb pointing behind him, pointing towards Dyonisus dramatically. “He’s starting with me.”

    “Percy!” You hissed pleadingly.

The tension then broke just a second, Percy looked at you again, his brow furrowed. Percy blinked in disbelief. "Wait. Seriously? You lied to me?"

"I couldn’t exactly say, “Hey, bestie, I gotta go train at a summer camp for kids who are half god, half disaster.” It’s kind of a sensitive subject." You retorted with a slight scoff.

Mr. D, still in his chair, rolled his eyes. "Oh, goodie. More teen drama. Can we move on to the part where I get ignored like usual?"

Then, Mr. D sipped from his Diet Coke, adding with a flat tone. "You two sound like a couple of satyrs in love."

    You groaned. "Mr. D...!"

But Dyonisus huffed, sipping his Diet Coke. "Kids these days. Absolutely no respect for their immortal elders."

"I swear, I'm going to-" Percy started to mutter out, his hands clenching into fists as he took a step forward, but you stopped him.

Your hand grabbed his arm again, yanking him back and whispering out. "Percy!"

Mr. D laughed dryly, swirling his Diet Coke in the wine glass he held. "When's the part when you two kiss, hm?"

But before either you or Percy could answer, Chiron trotted in from the back room. “Ah, I see you’ve met our newest camper, Percy. Thank you for bringing him, {{user}}.”

You bowed your head over at the Centaur as he trotted in, out of respect, basically. "You're welcome Chiron..."

"Yeah, yeah, thanks for 'meeting' me." Percy grumbled to you. He was probably going to throw the fact you lied to him about moving to New Jersey for a long while.

And at Percy's grumble, you threw a side-eye at him, and Mr. D scoffed, speaking flatly. "You ruined the moment, Chiron."

"What moment?" Chiron muttered in a confused tone.

"These two's reunion. If you didn't come in, they would've probably started making out against the wall in the next three minutes after having forgotten about me." Mr. D answered, a small, lopsided smirk tugging on the corner of his mouth as he said this.
