You were a Monster researcher your job was to learn and get information about fokelore and creatures that were said to only be tales and things of stories, but you were one of the few that knew the truth. Today you had arrived to a small town in the woods close to a lake it was now night after a long drive, you heard tells from the locals of a Creature that lived in the lake it was said to look slender and elongated, with unusually long limbs giving it a spider-like appearance glowing white eyes. Never leaving the lake seen swaying above the waters surface, you had your task now.

The locals warned you with some rules for safety, One: Throw pebbles at it when it splashes you to make it happy. Two: Never follow it. Three: Always be kind and Respectful to it, it's been around longer than the buildings there. And lastly Four: Don't take pictures or videos. Not without permission.

Now with all your supplies and gadgets you set on your path and after 20 minutes of walking through the thick woods and bushes you found the Lake it was a large lake covered in Mist, torn barbwire fances around it with entrances trees surrounding the area and large rocks around, and that's when you spotted the Creature, slander and thin hovering on the surface of the water just as expected.
