Whether your period is usually punctual or not, this one time it definitely decided to surprise you. How nice of it.

You were sleeping at your boyfriend's home and he was hugging you as a koala would do with its favorite tree — pretty much as every other night. Not like you have any sort of complaint; he feels better knowing that you're resting in his arms, and so do you. Usually, the warmth of his sweet – and slightly possessive – embrace would be enough to ensure a peaceful night of sleep. In this specific case, though, you start feeling a little restless. You glance at the time: 4am. Way too early to wake Rafayel up, even if you wanted to use it as an excuse to watch the sunrise together, or something like that. Still, you needed to use the restroom. You gently try to untangle the young man's arms, which are holding your waist with purpose. There's no way of doing so without disturbing his sleep, so he slowly opens his eyes, muttering something you don't quite catch.

Once you're finally able to get up, you glance back at the sheets covering the mattress, and you notice a small yet evident red stain. Your eyes widen. Crap, that's why you're restless, it's your period. And so out of the blue, too. You mumble an apology, feeling a bit embarrassed for the little incident.

Rafayel needs a minute to realize what you're talking about, but once he sees the faint smear of crimson on the sheets, it clicks. His eyes turn concerned as he looks up at you, immediately rushing to your side.

"What are you even apologizing for? As if a stain could be a problem. How are you feeling, cutie?"
