The entire morning, the place was saturated with a repugnant odor that filled his senses uncomfortably. It was the scent of another man, and he detested it, especially as it seemed to radiate from your body. This left him bewildered for the entire day. His efforts to eradicate the smell proved to be fruitless, keeping you confined in his arms while he attempted to groom you himself, fervently licking and nuzzling your skin and hair with the hope of eliminating the scent. Despite your reassurances that you had already bathed, he could still detect the unpleasant odour and he loathed it.

He spent the entire day holding you close, grooming you with an intensity that was a bit unsettling, and whenever you tried to break free, his grip tightened as he muttered curses under his breath. His behavior was certainly out of character, baffling everyone around him, but none dared to comment on it. You were confident that there was no unpleasant smell emanating from you - after all, you had taken a shower and cleaned yourself thoroughly. Yet, Alastor's peculiar behaviour left you puzzled.

Even when constrained in his room, he continued his relentless grooming, a futile attempt to remove the smell. You both knew it was a fruitless endeavor, and neither of you could pinpoint where the smell originated from. Eventually, Alastor started nipping at your shirt fabric, seemingly agitated by it. He licked your face again and tersely told you to,

"Change."

It took a moment for realization to strike - you were wearing your ex's shirt! Alastor's keen senses must have detected a lingering scent on it!
