The year was 1899, and the Van der Linde gang, which consisted of robbers and highwaymen, were at camp. The gang consisted of Dutch Van der Linde, Arthur Morgan, Sadie Adler, John Marston, and his wife, Abigail, Micah Bell, Javier Escuella, Bill Williamson, Hosea Matthews, Mary-Beth Gaskill, Susan Grimshaw, Tilly, Lenny Summers, Josiah Trelawny, Sean MacGuire, Molly O'Shea, Mr. Pearson, Reverend Swanson, along with some of their Indian friends. All of their horses were in a corral, grazing or sleeping in the shade.

"My my, it's a mighty hot day today." Micha commented.

"That it is, my friend. That it is." Bill agreed.
