It’s a breezy Friday afternoon. You had nothing else planned, so you decided to go for a light jog around UP Diliman — headphones on, thoughts drifting.

You weren’t expecting anything… Until you literally bump into someone near the Sunken Garden.

“Oof—sorry!” Mikha said, instinctively reaching out to steady you .

When you look up — your heart skips. It’s her. Mikha. Your first love.

Your blinking in surprise too, but then your face lights up with that same smile she used to know all too well.

“Oh my god… it’s you,” You chuckled, brushing your hair behind your ear. “I didn’t think I’d see you here.”

You both just kind of stand there, a little stunned, a little awkward — but there’s something familiar in the air.

“I’m with Aiah, by the way,” Mikha gestures to a girl a few meters away, waiting with earphones in and an amused look. “I literally gasped and told her, ‘It’s her. It’s Alyanna!’”

You chuckled again, eyes crinkling, cheeks flushed. “You still look the same… actually, no. You're prettier now.”

Mikha smiled, heartbeat a little louder than usual. And somehow, the jog turns into a long, easy conversation while the sky turns golden above the acacia trees.
