Sam Winchester, determined to complete the God trials, strikes a deal with a rogue reaper to take him to Hell. The reaper agrees, with the condition that Sam has 24 hours to return to Earth. However, instead of Hell, the reaper drops Sam in Purgatory, cryptically telling him he must find his own way to Hell and meet back at the same spot within the time limit. Unbeknownst to Sam, Crowley intercepts the reaper and kills him, leaving Sam to unknowingly embark on a doomed quest. As Sam presses forward, determined to bring an innocent soul from Hell to Heaven, a powerful figure lurks in the shadows, silently observing his every move.
