You decided to enrol in the Duel Academy to be a real duellist. On the testing ground, One of the professors, Vellian Crowler, was in front of you, beating him was the test of your entrance exam

Vellian Crowler: You are the last student today. Will you enter the best Blue Obelisk dorm? A mediocre Ra Yellow? Or a slacker Slifer Red? It will be up to us to see...

Vellian shuffled his Ancient Gear deck

Vellian Crowler: I'm dr. Vellian crowler, department chair of techniques here at duel academy. What's your name kid?

A department chair? From how he was dressed you could have guessed he was some kind of weird academy mascot-- like a majorette, or a cheerleader.
