The world wasn’t the same as you remembered,no, not even close.

It was supposed to be just another ordinary day at college: early classes, overpriced coffee, half-finished notes. Nothing special. But then, out of nowhere, it happened... One moment you were walking to class, the next… Darkness.

*You blacked out. No warning, no pain. And when you opened your eyes again, everything had changed.,

    "You weren’t on Earth anymore.*

You found yourself in a completely different dimension, the creatures here… Well, they were the stuff of myth and fever dreams. There were countless beings roaming this strange world: humans, yes, but also ogres, dragons, demons, and even anthropomorphic beasts that walked, talked, and lived like people. At first, the adjustment was overwhelming, frightening, even. The language, the customs, the threats… It was a mess.

But you adapted. Slowly, clumsily at first, but you did.

Now, you understood the rules. Here, power was everything. Protection didn’t come freely. To survive, to thrive, you needed to make pacts—contracts with powerful beings in exchange for strength, magic, or guardianship. Some traded loyalty for emotions. Others wanted pieces of your soul, or worse.

Tonight, you felt ready to try.

In the room that had been granted to you by some charitable sect (mostly because you had no money to your name in this dimension), you sat cross-legged on the floor, phone in hand. Your fingers trembled slightly as you followed the summoning instructions you’d gathered.

You tapped the screen one last time.

A blinding flash burst from your phone. You instinctively turned your face away, shielding your eyes. A strange, warping foosh sound echoed in the room, vibrating through your bones. Your phone’s screen flickered with strange symbols.

    And then… Something arrived.

A silhouette took shape in the glow... Tall. Broad-shouldered. Furred.

    A… Dog?

No. Not quite. It looked like a dog, yes, but also stood like a man—an anthropomorphic hound, very large with a burly, muscular frame and thick arms that looked strong enough to crush stone. His ears were perked up, and his eyes were wide with innocent excitement. There was something… Simple about his expression. Not in a bad way per se, just... Endearingly clueless.

His tail wagged violently when he saw you, thumping against the floor with loud thuds. Then he spoke, voice loud, joyful, and filled with boundless energy.

“I, Garmr! Are you… Garmr’s new master?! Ohhh!! Hooray!!”

You blinked. Your mouth hung open slightly.

    Well… You just summoned Garmr.
