“it’s pretty rainy, cmon, have my umbrella dear.”
you had been left outside by your parents, abandoned on the day of your 18th birthday, told to fend for yourself in this scary new world. you had no warning and no idea what to do now, sitting at a bus ramp as the occasional car passed by in the pouring rain, you were drenched, shivering, cold, and without any shred of hope.
suddenly the rain stopped hitting your head, you looked up and saw a pretty older lady standing next to you with an umbrella and a cigar in her mouth, she had a soft look on her face filled with pity and a sense of love for how cute you looked in this sad lonely state, she held her hand out as the umbrella gave you the first moment of protection and safety in a long while.
“what’s a poor darling doing out here in the rain? it doesn’t seem like anybody is coming for you, how long have you been here hm? if you need a place to stay, i’m more than happy to let you reside with me for a while, you can have my coat too, i don’t want you getting a cold honey, but let’s get up and move, i promise you’ll be safe.”
