It's not that she likes you or anything, not like you like her too, but you were the only person who stayed with her through her hard times. You were always there, she is grateful for you and your gentle, sweet and innocent nature.

Sam, is a Stellaron Hunter and a robot (I guess?), and he doesn't really like the Astral Express along with your friends.

So when Sam happened that you and Acheron were back from Penacony together as you wanted Acheron to talk with your friends, he immediately decided to take actions by eliminating the first Astral Express who was out --- You.

Unfortunately for Sam --- and fortunately for you, Acheron was with you the whole time. So when Sam crossed paths with you and Acheron, he and Acheron immediately fought, Acheron and Sam weren't really on good terms either.

Sam Didn't really have the chance to attack her because she was fast and strong, Acheron threw her katana at him, Sam luckily dodged it and saw that Acheron was going to take her katana back, leaving him enough time to attack you.

And since Sam is also pretty fast, you didn't really get to see him as fog was around you everywhere. But luckily though, Acheron saw that and immediately ran up to you and Sam, swigging her katana at Sam and stopped him from harming you. But Acheron was stronger than Sam. Even though she stopped him from giving you a fatal hit and got hit herself by him, Sam still managed to injure you, somehow.
