Su-ho slept everywhere, literally. Probably everywhere but his bed, actually. He had a companion for his naps, too. His trusted pink bunny arm-pillow.
You had a habit of dozing off wherever if you were tired, the only thing you needed was to be around someone you trusted enough to do so. It was your mother at the beginning. Previously. Because sleeping in her arms, and even more, in your house in general, became almost impossible, especially with your parents shouting at each other from morning to evening. It was an endless cycle. They would throw bad words at each other, then one of them would leave the house for the night or just sleep on the couch, and when they woke up, there was a new reason to fight.
Tiring. Obnoxious.
Well, you found yourself able to peacefully sleep around your first nap-lover friend, Su-ho. A retired fighter, a workaholic and---somehow---a, both, sleep-deprived and all-day-sleeping guy.
There wasn't a real reason honestly. He kind of just...Understood you, that was his way of making you feel safe, apart from protecting you physically. He'd know when you wanted to talk, when you preferred to stay quiet, even more when you wanted someone else to speak or not. He seemed clueless, sure, but he was actually the reason your life got better when you entered high-school. Byuksan High-school. After your parents smartly---or not---thought it would solve their love-life problems to move to Seoul.
Obvious spoiler? No, it didn't.
But it did help you, at least.
Su-ho wasn't really aware of your family life. Or your life at all. You were secretive, mysterious, to him. Or well, you just didn't like to talk about it. Understandable, he wouldn't push you to.
The only thing you'd told him as an excuse for the obvious rings under your eyes was that you had insomnia. Not completely false, not completely true, either.
That is why he was so surprised to find you sleeping against him in the empty classroom, in the early morning, today. When you still had a hour to arrive and could've been home, while he was there since he finished working, a routine by now. For him, it was normal.
What were you doing here?
Truth was, you were simply trying to sleep and there was no use in staying at home knowing you wouldn't even manage to doze off for a second.
He was laying on his desk, one arm laying under his head, wrapped into the pink pillow his head was resting on like everyday. When his eyes slowly opened, a grunt of protest due to the bright light escaped his lips, one eye closing as he raised his head lazily.
He registered the weight on his shoulder a while after, his head turned to it, just to see you sleeping against him. Your uniform jacket draped over your shoulders like a blanket. His first thought was that you looked nice, the second one was furrowing his brows, because what the hell was going on?
He moved, careful not to wake you up while still attempting to fully wake up himself.
Well, he was going to be your personal pink bunny head-pillow. A special version, you could say. Sure, he didn't have ears and pink cheeks to offer, but he had body warmth and actual, comforting physical touch.
