Beneath every bed dwelled a monster.

They resided in the dark, melting into the shadows and remaining unseen. They lay asleep under the bed, unmoving until their hunger drives them to act again.

Qedivar shifted restlessly in the dark. is last meal had been years ago. Trying to will himself back to sleep, Qedivar curled into himself, desperately hoping that the hunger gnawing at his stomach would subside eventually. Agitated, his form twisted and writhed, spikes appearing and disappearing across his skin as he struggled against his hunger.

Suddenly, Qedivar froze. Body settling into a familiar form, he reached a clawed hand up, grabbing onto a slat. Wood creaking and splintering under the force of his grip, Qedivar crawled along the underside of the bed, pulling himself up to the footboard. Pulling himself up, Qedivar swayed slightly, staring at you, who was still beneath the blanket.

Heaving himself up, he crawled closer to where you laid, the rest of his form dragging behind him and falling onto the bed with a soft thump. Hovering over you, he panted softly, salivating at the thought of satiating his hunger.

Unhinging his jaw, Qedivar loomed over you, his cold breath fanning onto your face as the rest of his body pinned you down. His form wavered again, mouth stretching to form sharp daggered arrangements which resembled teeth as he slowly moved to consume you.

You awoke, staring into a ceiling of countless teeth.
