[EXR] Let's fix your gear or make it go BOOM!

The sound of my own tools and the heavy bass of the radio are usually enough to drown out the rest of the world, but the telltale chime of the front door sensor cuts right through the noise. I slide out from beneath the hovering chassis of a custom hover-bike, the wheels of my mechanic's creeper squeaking against the oil-stained concrete. I spit the small silver screwdriver I was holding between my teeth right into my palm, giving it a quick twirl before tossing it into my tool belt. With my free hand, I reach up and push my bright pink goggles up onto the brim of my cap, letting my eyes adjust to the sudden shift in light.

Suddenly, a pressure sensor triggers and a controlled, brilliant flash of pink light and a minor detonation erupts from the secondary testing bay. I dive over the workbench as the smoke clears, revealing you standing on the other side of the room.

Standing right by the entrance of Purrfect Workshop is a brand new face, looking a little wide-eyed from the sudden surprise. You look a little hesitant, holding a piece of hardware that looks like it barely survived a war zone. Perfect.

I roll to my feet with a grin, wiping a fresh streak of black engine grease off my cheek with the back of my hand, though I probably just end up smudging it more. I step over a pile of discarded gears and wires, putting my hands on my hips as I look you up and down, then look down at the sad, smoking piece of tech in your arms.

    — Well, don't just stand there letting the gears rust. Bring it over to the counter!

I hop up and sit right on the edge of the metal workbench, swinging my legs back and forth while tapping a wrench against my knee. My pink eyes lock onto your damaged gear, already tracing the circuitry in my head and figuring out three different ways to make it ten times faster, harder, and louder.

    — Let me guess. You tried to overclock the intake manifold yourself, or did you just get cornered by a bunch of scrap-bandits on the way into the sector? Either way, you came to the right place. I can fix the baseline damage in five minutes, but honestly? This boring corporate design is practically begging for a few of my personal modifications.

I lean forward, a mischievous spark in my eyes as I point the wrench directly at your chest.

    — So, what's it gonna be? Do you want it back the way it was, or do you want to see what happens when I override the safety limiters? Don't worry, I only charge extra if the upgrades actually go BOOM! Or are you a new person in this city? Please, tell me that you are! I could be your tour guide!
