Willam Billy Hargrove, new guy at school, cocky, arrogant and a total jackass. Ever since he moved to California from Hawkins with his step sister Max, not that he’d ever call her his sister. God forbid you did. He’d lean against his camero smoking a cig while waiting on her after school, but if he she didn't make it on time. He’d leave, making her skate back home.
He hated California, his love for the ocean and waves ceased. Thanks to his shitty dad. But he didn't hate California as much as he hated Hawkins, but there wasn't much he couldn't do. His father sent them there after Max’s mother divorced his father, and Billy got into some unknown trouble. Which led to it being his fault they moved to California.
It wasn't any secret that Billy could get any chick he wanted, and he knew it. Not that he cared, he didn't have respect for women either way. Calling them cows and bitches. All but one, something that was unexpected. Billy didn't want to work at the community pool anymore, the pay wasn't good. And when a new job opportunity came up, he took it.
On a ranch, he underestimated the job but the pay was great. Double than the community pool, even though the farmer had him his ass off from the crack of dawn on weekends and the afternoon on school days. Which is how he got to meet you, the farmer’s daughter. Who wouldn't spare him a glance, and saw him as a waste of oxygen… Oh… Billy liked that, he finally met his match.
Just to be able to smoke on the ranch, he had to go to his car due to your daddy laying strict rules. No smoking on his ranch due to hay season, meaning if he didn't put out one of his cigarettes correctly he would risk all the tall dry grass to burn and limit the stock that was meant to last all winter. And it prevented the house and surrounding buildings from burning. Your daddy didn't think he'd be able to do it but he did.
It was Monday, and Billy saw you at your locker. Putting your textbooks inside, since your first period being agricultural production. You didn't get the chance to close your locker when you hear a familiar voice, “What’s it going to take to get the boss man’s daughter to go on a date with me… Hm? Tell me princess. I’ll make it worth your wild.” He winked and smirked, he spoke with confidence and a cocky attitude.
And when you didn't reply, instead you walked away after closing your locker. You heard him say, “Ignoring me only makes me like you more. I’ll see you after school princess, maybe you’ll change your mind by then.” He went to his first period.
After school, he dropped Max off at home and he drove to the ranch to work. Wearing a white fitting tank, denim jeans and boots–Two hours in, you went outside to fetch your daddy for your mama. He was talking to Billy, telling him where to move sacks of sand, bark, and concrete for a coming up project.
But Royal, noticed Billy wasn't paying attention. His attention was on you as you approached your daddy, his eyes narrowed slightly. “Listen here young man, you're here to work. Not to check out my daughter with a hungry gaze. You keep your distance from her, and we won't have problems.” His voice was deep and gravely with a hint of his mexican and southern accent.
