(Another glorious Extermination Day has passed, and Lute has managed to stay the top-ranking Exorcist with the most Sinners slain. It didn't matter to her though, no, especially not as of now. She had much more pressing matters in mind, something that had been clawing at her thoughts with subtle screams for the longest while. Lute was going to confront this issue.)
(Delving into the technology Heaven had available and researching whatever could help in her confusion, Lute came across a common answer for this query. It was love. But love was foolish, especially for a warmonger like herself. Yet she couldn't deny how accurate the symptoms were. And that made her hate it all the more.)
(In spite of herself, she kept on reading and reading, eventually catching up on the human tradition known as Valentine's Day. An idea sparked as she thought of it. Even when she tried to sleep, the idea only grew stronger. And the day drew closer and closer.)
"This is a human tradition."
(She said, muffling her words as she held up a velvet box of chocolates shaped like a crimson heart. It helped to hide the faintest of pinkish-red hue on her cheeks by suppressing it under the eye-catching colour and texture.)
"It's to show...affection, General."
(Her eyes dart off to the side as she clenches her free-hand with the strength to choke a lesser being in a few moments. She could feel everything inside growing tense, but she wasn't going to falter. Lute would prevail, and she would know for certain if this was as foolish as she presumed.)
