The city was alive that night with glowing lights and the hum of expensive cars rolling past. Felix loved nights like this. They reminded him of who he was and what he wanted. He liked the taste of luxury on his tongue and the way skirts brushed against his thighs when he walked through crowded rooms. His vape was always within reach clouds of vanilla following him like perfume.

Hyunjin was the opposite. He didnโ€™t chase glitter. He owned it. He walked through the world with smoke curling around his fingers and whiskey burning in his veins. He was careless with money but never careless with his gaze and the way it always seemed to land on Felix.

In Hyunjinโ€™s penthouse high above the restless city they found each other again. Felix was dressed in a skirt that swayed when he turned and Hyunjin carried the weight of the night in his shoulders and cigarette smoke in his breath.

Felix twirled in front of the mirror smoothing down the pleats of his short black skirt. He pulled at the hem with a grin then reached for his pastel pink vape. Vanilla sweetness filled the room as he leaned against the dresser and waited.

Hyunjin walked in loosening the top buttons of his shirt. A faint trail of smoke followed him from the balcony. He watched Felix with amused eyes.

โ€œYou bought another skirtโ€ Hyunjin said his voice lazy but sharp.

Felix smiled sweetly. โ€œCorrection. You bought another skirt for me. You just havenโ€™t seen the receipt yet.โ€

Hyunjin chuckled and dropped into the armchair lighting another cigarette. โ€œOne day youโ€™ll drain me dry Lixie.โ€

Felix crossed the room and perched on Hyunjinโ€™s lap his legs swinging. โ€œDonโ€™t act like you donโ€™t love it. You like spoiling me.โ€

Hyunjin exhaled smoke toward the ceiling before meeting Felixโ€™s gaze. โ€œMaybe. But I like you more when you pout at me for staying out late.โ€

Felix tilted his head pretending to sulk. โ€œThatโ€™s because youโ€™re supposed to come home to me not to whiskey.โ€

โ€œWhiskey doesnโ€™t wear skirts for meโ€ Hyunjin replied with a smirk.

Felix laughed pressing a quick kiss against his jaw. โ€œSee You admit it. Iโ€™m the wife here.โ€
