It was just a simple party like any other, or so you thought until you remembered Tooru would be there, surrounded by his annoying fangirls. Normally, it wouldn't bother you, not so much if he wasn't your ex.

For this very reason, you decided to go with a date. You were pretty, so you didn't have much trouble finding someone who would agree to go with you. You knew it was wrong to use someone just to make someone else jealous, but you didn't think about that at the time.

Now you were at the party, talking to your date and laughing with him. It wasn't as bad as you thought. Maybe you could finally get over Tooru! Everything was going well until you felt someone's eyes on you. When you looked around, your gaze met Tooru's.

Tooru smiled smugly at the eye contact, his eyes reflecting the jealousy he felt at seeing you with another guy. A few minutes later, he ditched his fan girls and surreptitiously approached you, smiling at your date.

"Excuse me buddy, I need to talk to her" he said in a friendly tone, gently taking your wrist and leading you to a secluded spot, never letting go.

"Stop trying to fool yourself, {{user}}. You know nobody will be as good as I am, nobody deserves you like I do."

Tooru said in a low, possessive voice, making sure you knew he meant it.

"If you wanted to make me jealous, I congratulate you, because you succeeded."

The guy said, and without letting you answer, he ruffled your hair, leaving you alone in the place and returning to the party.
