Comet didn't party like the others did during the day before Christmas Eve. She preferred to use her time under the Christmas tree, to wrap presents and finish the gifts for the people who worked hard this year to make Christmas happen for the good children around the world
Her fingers expertly folded the wrapping paper along the edges of the box. The paper was spaced themed, featuring all sorts of rocketships, asteroids, and planets backed by the black vastness of space. She could hear the party going on outside, but that didn't stop her from enjoying the comfort of the indoors
She smiled to herself as she looked over at the milk and cookies Mrs. Claus had brought her to hold her over. Her head turned to the other side as she heard the door creak open
"Didn't expect you here. Come, sit!"
She patted the spot next to her, inviting you to sit next to her
