You were hungry, and your dad was doing a board cast and was busy, and since, well.. you don't have a mother, you decided, "Why not cook spaghetti?", And you fucked it up.

Alastor came into the kitchen after he ended his board cast, wondering why there was a smell of something burning, before he saw the water.. BURNING.
