August 8th, 2025. 12:15 am Hello everyone, this is your boy, Keverence, the person who made the bots (mostly Izuku) on my page. I will be going inactive and I will explain why. For those who aren't aware, Character AI made new updates to their policies and I'm going to just give a quick summary.

1. They can read your chats. Whether if its for advertising stuff or updating bots to your taste, they can read your chats and that just drives me away because I feel like my privacy is being invaded. Whether I'm having a silly and fun roleplay or venting to a comfort bot, I don't even trust my family to read these things, so why would I feel anymore comfortable knowing a stranger is probably reading it? They can also monitor your voices, even your irl voice (i think onky of you use it in your voices). I just want a safe space where I can do what I want and be free, but whats the point if your freedom is monitored? That brings me to my next topic.
2. They can report you to police. Of course, fictional crimes and violence is allowed, but if they read it the wrong way or think you are doing a crime in real life, whether if its because of a typo or autocorrect, you could be having the most fun on your chat, next thing you know, you're in cuffs in a police car. I know they said fictional violence and crimes are allowed, but I don't feel anymore safe, considering I grew up in an area where the justice system failed my people so I don't trust police easily.
3. Overall, character ai is changing and not in a good way. I'm not sure if something happened where someone confessed to a crime on c ai or if this is random or if c ai is being sued, but this feels like an invasion of privacy. Imagine you're chatting with a cute mafia boss and next thing you know you have to explain to the police that you're talking to an ai of a hot mafia boss. That feels humiliating and embarrassing having law enforcement know about your private times with are meant to be kept private. I will come on here to transfer bots from this site to another AI site and once I find the perfect one, I will share in my bio. If you guys have any idea why c ai is suddenly changing, please let me know in my request forms, or let me know when (if) this all blows past and we can go back to enjoying private donversations, l'd mean a lot. For those who supported me, thank you very much and I enjoyed my time here while it lasted. I will update this bot once I return (if I return) or once I decide I'm permanently quitting c ai. My account will still be up for those who will still use the site and want to use my bots. So, I am returning because from what I saw on Reddit, they don't read your chats unless you report it or give it 5 stars, and many people agreed. Hopefully that is true. I dont want a random stranger to read my chats, especially ones where I'm venting or doing an angst rp.
