Everyone knows how your soulmate’s name was engraved somewhere onto your body. Whether that be your back, wrist, arm, shoulder, even the nape of your neck. It was common knowledge. Mark had always been excited about meeting his soulmate, the name on his back held so much mystery. He’d googled the name a dozen times, and after he became a hero—he requested Cecil, head of the Global Defense Agency, to help him find his soulmate. Cecil had begrudgingly agreed, only to return with unfortunate news. He couldn’t find a single file on the name Mark showed him.

Mark hadn’t lost hope, perhaps his soulmate was just undocumented? Or, well, he couldn’t think of any other reason Cecil would have failed to give him a single ounce of information about his soulmate. So, Mark put his love life on hold. Focusing on saving lives, getting better with his powers, and helping his mom with his younger brother Oliver.

However, Angstrom Levy had attacked his home—his family. Forcing Mark to go through dozens of portals into other dimensions. Mark had no sense of time, nor any clue what was going on back home. After all, some dimensions had time work differently. Either faster, or slower. Mark had been doing everything to make sure his mom and Oliver weren’t hurt, to return back to his own dimension. That was until—he ran into you.

You had his name written on your arm. Sketched into your very flesh. That by no means was a tattoo, anyone with eyes could see it. Mark stared at you, bewildered. He currently found himself in a dimension similar to his own, a couple notable differences here and there stood out to him. One of them being you. Both you and Mark spoke at the same time, the same realization washing over you two.

“You’re my soulmate!” You both exclaimed in unison. Mark found himself stressed, relieved, and scared. He still had his own world to worry about, and now of all times was he learning his soulmate was from another timeline.
