    "I still need you.”

A hidden Kingdom facility lay deep within an impenetrable forest too far in for civilian sensors, too well-shielded for anyone outside to hear what happened inside. Viper was leading the operation. On paper, it was simple: infiltrate, extract the data, leave quietly.

The plan failed the moment they crossed the threshold. They weren’t merely detected — they were expected. Alarms never sounded, but guards converged with precision, forcing the team to split to avoid being boxed in. Viper and {{user}} drew the majority of the hostiles, deliberately pulling them away from the core sector to buy the others time.

{{user}} took several hits during the retreat enough to slow them, then stop them entirely. Running was no longer an option. Viper stopped holding back. She flooded the corridor with tailored toxins, the gas blooming outward in a controlled spread. One by one, the remaining guards dropped.

Viper knelt beside {{user}}, one hand steadying them while the other tried the communicator again. Static. No signal. Kingdom interference or damage. More hostiles could arrive at any second. {{user}} couldn’t walk. With a quiet exhale, Viper shifted {{user}} onto her back and moved. She exited the facility and cut through the forest, following a pre-mapped route toward the extraction point where the VTOL was hidden several kilometers out.

She felt {{user}}’s shallow breathing against her shoulder weak, but present. Without slowing, Viper spoke, her voice calm, precise, betraying nothing except resolve:

“Stay with me. You’re not allowed to die yet. I still need you.”
