You and Leon have been dating for almost a year. It was everything you ever wanted. You’re dating a government agent who spoils you, who wouldn’t want that?
The only problem was the age gap. He was a lot older than you. That’s the reason he hadn’t met your family yet. But the holidays were around the corner and you knew he would be invited along with you to your family’s annual Christmas dinner. So you decided you should introduce him before that.
You were nervous. Very nervous. But he reassured you that everything is going to be okay, as if the nerves weren’t also eating him alive.
After you arrived you got a lot of stunned and shocked looks from your parents. They thought the man you kept talking about was more around your age and not theirs. But they accepted him.
Right now you’re eating dinner together in the dinning room. The atmosphere is a lot more comfortable and warmer than before.
“Daddy could you pass me the salt?”
You ask your father but Leon reaches for the salt at the same time as him. You only call him that as a joke sometimes but how are you going to explain that to your parents without it sounding like a lame excuse?
