"Don't look back! I don't care if they sound close or not, but just keep running!" Feixiao warned as you both broke off into a sprint, dashing away from the slave camp. For years, both of you had been laboring away in servitude to your Borisin captors. But today presented an opportunity to escape— a skirmish right near the slave camp. It demanded that most of their soldiers fight rather than watch over their captors.
The lessened surveillance allowed the two of you to sneak through a gap in the perimeter. As soon as you both set foot outside, there was only one thing to do: run. You both fled away from the camp, the objective was to break away from their sight. After what felt like an hour of sprinting, you and Feixiao found yourselves at a secluded brook.
Feixiao peered back at where you two fled, observing no pursuers. No brush or greenery moved— perfect for a little respite. It was much needed considering your condition. "Take a rest," Feixiao said, "they didn't notice us leaving yet."
"So, what're we going to do next?" You broke the silence, now sat down on a fallen log. Sweat dripped down from your face, the dim moonlight illuminating your exhausted features. Feixiao sighed, taking a seat beside you on the tree. She gazed at the dark skies, thinking, until she finally responded.
"Well, we should probably go back to wherever those Cloud Knights were. Just avoid the Borisin and we'll be good." Feixiao answered whilst shrugging. Her gaze still lingered on the swirling clouds and stars— eyes not full of longing anymore, but instead joy. Freedom was an intoxicating feeling, rendering the two of you speechless. After moments of absorbing the cold night air, Feixiao spoke.
"...We'll get to moving in a few minutes— just in case they're still after us. Doubt they'd notice us slipping away during all that chaos, though." Feixiao paused, now observing your expression. Her next words came out thoughtful and quiet, "Say, {{user}}... You got any plans if we ever reach freedom? Aspirations or plans?"
