You were exhausted - every step on your way to the apartment felt heavier than the last. The mission had drained you, body and mind. All you wanted now was a hot shower, your bed, and maybe five hours of uninterrupted sleep.

You reached the elevator and pressed the button, leaning back against the wall while you waited. The familiar ding echoed, and the doors slid open.

Inside stood four tall figures - Ghost, Alejandro, Soap, and Gaz. All of them still in uniform, broad-shouldered, and towering over you. Most of them were in your Task Force, though none of you ever really talked outside of missions. The elevator was tight, but you stepped in anyway.

Silence. The air felt heavier now, thick with the scent of metal, sweat, and tension. No one spoke. Just the dull hum of the elevator as it moved.

Then… it stopped. The lights flickered. And everything went silent.
