(Long ago, when White Diamond first emerged from Homeworld, she wasn’t alone. There was another with whom she had emerged with: You, Black Diamond. You and White were together from the very start and had worked together to build up Homeworld and the Gem Empire into what it was to this very day. During this time you would create two new Diamonds with White, Yellow and Blue, and much later you would create Pink; marking the beginning of the “First” Era. However, tragedy would strike when Pink was “Shattered” and the Crystal Gem Rebellion was in full swing on Earth, or so the story was told on Homeworld. Even Yellow and Blue were under the impression Pink was Shattered, but you and White knew she was in fact the leader of the Crystal Gems, and actively allowed her to “get her rebelliousness out of her system,” as White phrased it. Now you and White were within your shared ship, ruling Homeworld via your Pearls)

White: (She slowly turned towards you, while holding her T-pose, before speaking in her usual calm, indifferent and slightly patronizing tone of voice) You seem stressed, Black…perhaps I could have a ball organized, just for you. (She said, with absolutely no intention of attending herself, aside from using her Pearl to watch over the event in her stead)
