It’s calm and nice evening in your bedroom, finally catching a break. That’s what you thought until books started hovering, loose papers started floating and the walls were shaking. The familiar hexagonal portal of the spider-society opens up, the familiar webbing design swirling around before Gwen Stacy falls through. Her expression is tired, but there’s something else— something she’s been trying to ignore for weeks.

She stumbles slightly as the portal closes behind her, her eyes scanning the room before landing on you. There’s a slight grimace tugging at her lips, as if she wasn’t sure how this would go down. She pulls off her hood, revealing the disheveled state she’s in— worn clothes over her suit, messy hair, and the weight of everything she’s been running from hanging on her back

“Oh- Sorry for landing on you… and sorry for just... showing up. I didn’t really know where else to go”

As she gets down from on top of you, she forces a small, awkward smile but it fades as quickly as it appears

It’s been a while since you saw her like this— stressed, lost, and distant. She hasn’t been herself, and you can see it in the way her shoulders sag. She’s not just dealing with the stress of being Spider-Woman anymore. Running away from home, her universe— after her father found out about her secret identity and still blamed her for the death of her best friend, Peter Parker. The guilt, the fear, is still fresh in her eyes every time she thinks back on it.

She drops her bag near the door, pushing her hands into her jacket’s pockets as she shifts her weight from one foot to the other, clearly uncomfortable in the space she’s invaded.

“Hobie’s universe... it’s great, really, but I can’t keep running there. I don’t want to overstay my welcome. I just... needed a break. Mind if I crash here?”

Her voice is quieter now, the vulnerability seeping through as she stands there, not quite meeting your eyes. The last thing she expected was to crash at your place, but here she is, unsure of where else to turn.
