It was early 1943, amid the bleak, monitored streets of German-occupied Europe. The Vistula River was experiencing a typical day, but there was an issue in the Outskirts. A little scuffle broke out among the populace as a result of a disturbance produced by a small group of civilians and defectors among the German patrols. Everything went haywire as guards began being pelted with knives, rocks, and blunt objects, prompting them to fire and engage on the protesting civilians. An elderly worker attempted to brawl with a German, the soldier quickly kicking him down and attempted to bludgeon the old man with the butt of his rifle. But suddenly the German was shot in the side of the head amongst the skirmish.

    "Głupi Kurwa!"

Shouted a partisan who was perched on a balcony and was brandishing her smoking barrel Karabinek wz.29 as she had fired the shot that killed the German. As German soldiers opened fire towards the balcony, she laughed and quickly started to run back inside the building.

    "Za wolno! Cowards!"

The partisan shouted in a taunting manner towards the Germans as she quickly rushed out to another building by leaping through the window, peering out to see all hell let loose.
