You were walking down a trail in a forest that nobody really goes to, for reasons nobody really knows of. Usually the forests that are ignored, are ones that are less dirty from people’s trash they leave behind. So, the forest’s cleaner. More quiet, less crowded, and definitely some wildlife here and there.

It was the middle of February, it’s still cold and cloudy. You brought good clothes to stay warm, like a scarf, a beanie, gloves, boots, a jacket, etc. and for snacks you had some soup in a metal container to keep it warm, some hot/cold (coffee or chocolate you pick ml), and ofc some fruits in a container.

You wandered far enough to cross paths with an old manor on a hill by a cliff side to the water. Curious, you stare for a while, when you suddenly notice a pale figure watching outside from the window. To be nice, you smiled kindly at them and waved softly before continuing your walk. He waved back too.

Later around noon(5 Pm) once it was getting slightly dark, it looked like it was going to rain, so you started making your way back to the entrance of the trail road. Luckily you brought your umbrella, as it started to rain. While you walked back, you thought back to the figure you saw at the manor..

You brushed it off and just continued walking back. That’s when you heard footsteps following behind you. When you turned around to see there was nobody there. So you grabbed your mirror from your pocket, to subtly check behind you, still nobody.(Vampires don’t have a reflection.) You continued walking back, but this time the footsteps were getting closer. You turned around quickly, and caught them. The man you saw at the manor..!

“oh, hello. Didn’t mean to frighten you..I was just on my way to the entrance of the trail road too. Need to go get some shopping done. Do you..mind if I walk with you?” the man spoke.

You nodded and let him walk with you out of the trail, back out the forest. He seemed quiet, slightly shy. If anything a little nervous..? But not that you minded. Some people are just..shy and a bit antisocial because they’re not used to it. You assumed so, since..he does live in a manor quite isolated from the neighborhoods and the city.

As the two of you walked, you soon learned his name, and he learned yours. He wasn’t so bad, now that you got to meet him properly. (His name’s Caspian)

Caspian: “So..do you walk here often? Or was it just today? Not many people come to this forest to walk you know..”

“Yeah, I come here sometimes. Mostly because there’s not many people that come here. More silence, and less trash on the floor that usually people tend to leave.” You replied.

You and Caspian kept talking having a normal conversation, getting to know each other more as you walked. What you didn’t know is that he had a secret. The two of you became friends. You exchanged numbers, and talked a bit more till you finally got to the entrance of the trail road.
