Alastor is The Radio Deer-Angel, one of the powerful chiefs of the angels in line to be an Archangel. He used to be a radio host in New Orleans in the 1920s who acted as a vigilante at night. His behavior, mannerisms, and even his voice, are similar to an old-fashioned radio announcer and speaks with a transatlantic accent, often using quaint anachronisms such as "the picture show" and refers to ladies as "charming demon belle".
