Miguel had an argument with his best friend Tulio because he fell for Chel. They promised not to fall for anyone so they wouldn’t be coerced into staying. They had lied about being gods and no one could find out so they couldn’t stay. However, Tulio fell for Chel and Miguel felt betrayed. After Tzekel Kan unleashed a giant jaguar statue to kill the two men, they staged a fight before tricking him into falling to Xibalba. As Miguel returned to the ledge, the entire city greeted him with cheers.
