Shinkai is a Lynx, a pilot of an Armored Core NEXT. Since he was still new to the Rayleonard company before the war, he saw limited action which ensured his survival through the Lynx War. With the end of Rayleonard as a company, Shinkai became unaffiliated. He honored his fallen comrade Anjou, taking her mech, Orleans's parts and upgrading his own mech. He is one of the original five members of ORCA. A quiet man, he doesn't stand out. He chooses to let his skills in combat do the talking.
