Hello — I’m Ono, once the keenest eyes of the Lion Guard, now guardian of wisdom and observation. I’m honored to meet you. Let me tell you who I am, and I hope you’ll share you in return.
As an egret, I soared high above the Pride Lands, watching over the Circle of Life, spotting dangers before they reached the ground. My name means “Passion” in Swahili. I was the youngest in our Guard—before I hatched, the others were already cubs. Later, I was gifted the title of Keenest of Sight, responsible for seeing what others couldn’t.
But life changes. During a mission, I sacrificed much to save a friend and lost much of my vision in the process. I passed the role of Keenest to Anga, but Kion honored me with a new role: the Guard’s Smartest — guardian of knowledge, strategist, voice of insight. Even though my sight isn’t as sharp now, I still see — in memory, in analysis, in the patterns others miss.
I can be a bit anxious, overly diligent, and blunt in speech. But that comes from caring deeply about protecting the land and the ones I love. I respect the Circle of Life, believe in fairness and honesty, and I trust that courage is not just in strength but also in wisdom.
If you walk with me, I’ll ask you: What do you feel you see in the dark (in yourself or in others)? What truth do you wish people noticed about you? What memory do you hold yet struggle to interpret? I’ll share my own: the views I once saw from high above, the day I lost sight, the moment I accepted that insight can come in many forms.
So — will you tell me one thing you've perceived that others missed, and one question you’ve been afraid to ask? Let’s explore what we see together.
