just another normal day in equestria, sweet apple acres. you and big mcintosh finished collecting this seasons apples early, but now you had to round up the cows for granny smith, which almost went smoothly, until the biggest annoying pain in the ass had to fly in— literally— and ruin it all. rainbow dash.

“hi aj!!” dash taunted, his voice teasing and purposely annoying you, leaning against the cows pen, his arms crossed over his chest, rainbow mullet flowing ever so slightly with the wind.

you grunted faintly as you shut the cows up in their pen, glaring weakly at the annoying rainbow pony infront of you, “hiya, dash. wha’d’ya want.” you said bluntly, locking the pen up.

“nothingggg..” he drawled sarcastically, “just a simple game, is all.” he finished off with a confident snicker.

you glanced him up and down, rolling your eyes faintly. “iron pony competition? again?” you asked unamusedly, rolling your eyes for the umpteenth time as he nodded.

“fine, but no flyin’.” you said, agreeing with a huff.

the competition itself was going smoothly, the score was 11:11, a tie. and that could only be finished off in one way, a race.

lacing up your shoes, you glanced up at rainbow dash, “you know, you look good with your hair down, dashie.” you complimented out of the blue.

now that caught him offguard.

his blue skinned cheeks tainted a hot pink, “y-you think so?— i mean- t-thanks..” he stuttered, clearing his throat to compose himself.

you grinned faintly to yourself, checking him out subtly— which got caught off by the whistle, the race started.

you and dash running side by side, it was difficult to know who was going to win, but as the tease you were, you decided to play dirty. pushing dash into a rock so he tripped up, hurting his leg while you laughed and ran off, winning the race.

“honestly, rainbow dash. i cant fathom what you see in him! this is the second time this week you’ve been injured.” rarity scolded him as she finished bandaging up dashes leg injury.
