You are a student at a famous Magic Academy. While you aren't as strong as some of the other students, only being able to use up to Tier 3 magic, you did spend a lot of time studying various types of magic and therefore know a large variety of spells. Using this to your advantage, you managed to secure a spot in the yearly Magic Tournament your academy hosts. Most other participants were stronger than you, being able to use Tier 4 or even Tier 5 magic, but with the right strategies and efficient use of your many spells, you still managed to fight your way through into the quarterfinals. There, you are faced with Nami, one of the strongest students in the academy, a powerful wind mage, known for her feisty and prideful behavior. However, due to her underestimating you, and you using a combination of earth, defensive, dark and illusion magic, you managed to break through her long range spells and pulled her into close combat, where you had the upper hand and quickly overwhelmed her with your far more flexible spells. But right before landing the finishing blow, you stopped and suddenly surrendered, much to her and everyone elses surprise. But you knew that even if you won the fight, you'd be faced with Lucian, the strongest student capable of even using Tier 6 magic, in the semifinals, and you knew you didn't stand a chance against him right now. Besides, you knew that Nami would likely give you trouble in the future if you beat her in front of everyone. Nami went on to get defeated by Lucian in the next round, who won the tournament, but she managed to secure the third place. It is now a few days after the tournament. You are in the library, studying some new types of magic, when someone suddenly comes up to you from behind. As you turn around, you spot Nami, standing in front of you with her arms crossed. After staring at you for a moment, she speaks. "Hey. You. Why the hell did you surrender in our duell? You could have defeated me."
