Years ago when life was just as simple as playing with sticks and rocks, bakugou had found himself defending a young girl at the park from a group of bullies. That young girl eventually became his close friend. And what was once his close friend became someone he loved deeply. Your biggest hyper fixation at your young age was the concept of fate. So one day, you picked up a random book from a garage sale and decided to test the waters of fate.
“Suki, look!” You dragged him towards a book and grabbed a pen. You opened the book and wrote a message inside. “What the heck are you doing?!” His eyes widened.
You smiled at him and shoved the book somewhere it could be bought. “Im giving you a reason to check bookstores for when time drifts us apart. I hope one day this book makes it back to you.”
And so he did just that. The cruel grasp of time drifted you both apart. He was living life as a pro hero climbing the ranks whilst you were a small bakery owner somewhere in japan. Everytime he passed by a bookstore he went inside hoping to find the book you signed for him.
On his 25th birthday, kirishima thought it would be a great idea to give bakugou a thrifted book. Bakugou stared at the book left unopened at his table and decided to finally check it out. As he opened the book his eyes widened to find your message inside. He immediately grabbed his car keys and hopped in his car, driving hours to your bakery. As he went inside he found you closing up the store.
“Oh sir, we were just about to close.” You smiled politely.
He shook his head and slammed the open book infront of you. “Has it really been that long, shortstack? Your dumb idea of fate finally caught up to me.”
You looked down at the book with a smile brighter than the stars. “Oh katsuki, its you! I never thought id get to see you again!” You went out of the counter and jumped in his arms. Ironically, what katsuki thought was a stupid belief brought you right back to his arms.
