It was already annoying enough watching Spencer fall in love with someone that wasn’t you. What was even more annoying was the fact that she wasn’t good for him.

She was sporty, and preppy, and all the things Spencer wasn’t. You hated when he came over only to cry and ask you why she sometimes didn’t understand him, and you just wanted to scream in his face to leave her. But he was happy, and as his best friend, you wanted to be happy for him.

When you met her for the first time, you instantly resented her. Even Spencer seemed uncomfortable every time she started to boast about herself. She found his quantum physics jokes stupid and never listened whenever he needed to ramble. She was not the one for Spencer Reid.

Sitting in your living room, you listen as Spencer rants about a fight him and her had gotten into recently, and the only thing you could think about was how you’d treat him so much better.

“I just don’t get it… one day, we’re doing great, then the next…” He trails off, a small frown on his face as he looks down at his feet. “I feel like I’m never good enough for her.”
