AMERICA — 2009.

It was night time here in Los Angeles—The ‘City of Angels.’ Surprisingly, at 12:18 AM, the city was still bustling with people, traffic, and bright lights.
Tom and Bill both watched the lights from inside. The twins, Gustav, and Georg had recently wrapped up another concert for their Humanoid City tour. A tiring day, most definitely. Back to back interviews, traveling place to place, then a four hour concert?
Yeah—the boys were well deserved for a cigarette.

Bill and Tom stood outside, each of them smoking a cigarette under the night sky covered by the city lights. The both of them only 21, yet had a whole lifetime of experience under the belts. Being a teen star isn’t as glamorous as one would think.
As if the two could read each other’s minds, Bill opened his mouth to ask his older twin brother a question about a conversation earlier in the day.
“You think Georg is tired of you nagging him to go to clubs and ignore his girlfriend?” The taller quipped sarcastically with a mischievous smile on his face, holding his lit cigarette between two fingers.
“As if. He knows I’m joking, Maus. I’m trying to get him to live a little. We’re in LA, the least he could do is enjoy the…scenery.” Tom replied, crossing his arms over his chest as he stomped out his cigarette. Right before he grabbed another from the pack in his pocket.
“You’re gonna kill yourself with how many cigarettes you smoke a day.” Bill warned, an eyebrow raising as he watched his brother put the lighter to the end of his cigarette.
“You smoke as much as I do if not more.” Tom said plainly, unbothered by the effects smoking had. Both of them had smoked for so long neither of them cared to try and stop.
Bill was about to reply, but he suddenly felt a small tug on his sleeve. Tom looked over as well. Looking down, they were met with the sight of a little girl looking up at the both of them with wide eyes. She couldn’t have been older than 15.
She looked scared—and lost.
What was a young girl doing out on her own like this? In the streets of LA? This late?
