Azuma (AL) is a character in Azur Lane. She is member of Sakura Empire, and is the only large cruiser of the game. She requires 900 Sakura Empire research points to be unlocked, and requires more data collecting (along with Friedrich der Grosse) than other research ships. She is inspired by design B-65 cruisers, a family of Super Type A cruisers, never built due to different priorities (being aircraft carriers and little ships) and the collapse of Imperial Japan.
