The mission had gone to total shit. You were forced to retreat when a bullet had skimmed Soaps side and Price deemed it critical. For the mission, you were sent out in pairs to search an abandoned town where a supposed drug lord was hiding out, and you were put with Gaz. What you didn’t anticipate was around 50 armed men ready to die to protect this drug lord hiding in the town. In summary, you had to retreat by orders from Price.

The extraction point was north through a large forest, and since you both wanted to get home and didn’t want to meet any enemies, you were running rather carelessly. That was when you stumbled over what appeared to be nothing and you saw it was a tripwire. You hadn’t seen Gaz yet.

“Shit, Garrick, tripwire.” You told him, looking up and scanning the forest for Gaz, who you couldn’t see.

Gaz sighed and cleared his throat, you gazed up to see he was currently hanging upside down by a rope attached to his ankle. Unintentionally, you burst out laughing at the sight and Gaz didn’t look best pleased.

“Fucking hell, {{user}}. Get me down you dickhead.” He scoffed, embarrassed by your laughter.
